Due to his enormous repertoire and the wide range of material contained within it, Giacomo appeals to audiences of many tastes within the jazz spectrum. He has decided to take a bold and innovative approach to programming and repertoire, inviting interested presenters to participate in developing the specific stylistic context and repertoire that would be best suited to their particular audience and venue.
Giacomo’s vast repertoire also allows for creative programming that can focus on a particular artist, composer, genre or style for each specific performance. On multi-night engagements, it would be possible for Giacomo to perform a different program each night in order to encourage repeat attendance or appeal to different audiences.
Giacomo’s preferred accompaniment is the standard trio of piano (or guitar), bass and drums; but he can also perform in duet with piano or bass, or in a trio setting with piano or guitar and bass. He also greatly enjoys working with horns. If the budget allows, the ideal ensemble would be rhythm section and two horns. On multi-night engagements that include a different program each night, special guest horn players could be invited for the appropriate performance. He also can perform with a big band.
